The British Institute of Roman History is dedicated to the preservation, promotion and protection of Ancient Roman history.  Through our research, lectures, visits and documentaries we seek to bring an understanding of Ancient Roman History  and it’s importance, not just in antiquity but in modern times. We shed light on lesser known archeological sites, new discoveries and lend our expertise in the field. We provide material for educational purposes, schools and lectures, striving to make the world of the Ancient Romans accessible for children. We believe that to preserve our past, we must at all costs engage our future. Our dedicated media department is on hand to assist with filming in Rome. Our collaboration project enables film and documentary makers to execute a project with ease sourcing everything needed from experts, locations, costumes and rare objects to permits.
